Wilson Hunt High School won with a score of 319, and Wilson Beddingfield came in third with a score of 400. The medalist of the match was Paul Howell of Hunt with a score of 76. James Sullivan (78), Cole Stoiber (81), and Robert Byrd (84) rounded out the score for Hunt. Stewart Webb shot an 88, and Lawrence Webb shot a 94. Junior Josh Ribeiro led the Rams with an 85. Doug Trujillo (94), Kevin Murphrey (107), and Will Johnson (112) rounded out the score for the Rams. Benjamin Rouse fired a 126. Ryan Jones led the Bruins with an 86. Michael Gardner (87), Danny Nicholas (120), and Jay O'Neal (157) rounded out the score for the Bruins. Greene Central head golf coach Lewis Godwin said, "This is a young team that must improve quickly before conference matches. Josh Ribeiro and Doug Trujillo played well." Greene Central's next match is Thursday March 20th against South Central at Brook Valley Country Club at 1:00. |
